Here's the group's description: "Everyday Matters is a friendly community designed to encourage members to expand their creativity. Our main focus is on drawing and creating illustrated journals but we welcome creative people from all disciplines. Our group includes members of all degrees of ability and experience -- from total novices to professional illustrators, artists, and teachers. In 2004, our group grew out of Danny Gregory's weblog, and books, Everyday Matters, Creative License, and An Illustrated Life."
Members share their creative experiences and although it's not a requirement, the group has weekly drawing challanges - over 200 of them so far. There's great support and inspiration from more than 3,800 artists. Check it out at http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/everydaymatters.
This is SUCH a lovely sketch!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the tone of your trees. Great job!
ReplyDeleteVery nice and airy (misspelled?). What I mean and couldn't spell is I love the space yet detail!
ReplyDeleteGlad you've joined EDM. That daylily is terrific! Funny how we think a new member is new to art. HA. That's what assumptions do. I agree that one can never have too many art supplies... although I wish I had as nifty storage solutions to my paints & brushes & accessories collections as you've found and made for your pencils. Any horizontal surface...
ReplyDeletevery nice and soft. I like drawings where the edges disappear
ReplyDeleteLove your trees! great to have you here. And I love the pencil holders you made. I'll have to get my husband on that as his next project!
